We are so proud of our Advanced Parli Pro team placing 4th in the state with Sedar Kane as a high chair and for Maggie McDilda taking 4th in the Creed as well!

For the State Finals Field Day, we had our Nursery/Landscape Judging and Livestock Judging teams travel down to San Luis Obispo. Our Nursery team placed 6th overall with Paden Bear getting 7th high individual and Taylor Gallaty 9th. And our Livestock team placed 9th with Faith Kalnins getting 7th high individual.

April 24, 2017

At the Fresno Field Day, our Vine Judging team place 2nd over all and Jake McDougall got 4th high individual. Also, our Fruit Tree Judging team placed 5th. Great job to everyone who participated!

March 25, 2017

We had a big day at the MJC Field Day! Our Fruit Tree Judging team was awarded as the 1st high team and Caleb Heitman (5th), Wyatt Kane (4th), and Jake McDougall (2nd) all got high individuals. Also, the Nursery/Landscape team got 5th high team and Taylor Gallaty 5th high individual. Our Livestock Judging team had their best day, placing 5th in beef judging and 3rd in swine judging and getting 9th as a team overall.

We had our Livestock Judging and Nursery/Landscape Judging teams compete at the field day down in Merced. Congratulations to our Nursery team who was the 3rd high team of the day and Paden Bear getting the 4th high individul and Taylor Gallaty 7th!

March 15, 2017

We had a pretty good day at the Superior Regional Contests. Wyatt Kane placed 1st and Maggie McDilda 2nd in the Creed, Sedar Kane took home 1st in Extemp, James Banister placed 2nd in Prepared Speech, Advanced Parli Pro got 1st, and Novice Parli Pro received 2nd.

We had teams competing in the Fruit Tree, Livestock, and Nursery/Landscape judging, and BIG contests in Chico and took home a win. Our Fruit Tree judging team placed first and Garret Boyd got 4th high individual and Caleb Heitman 1st! The Nursery/Landscape and BIG teams both got 5th. Great job to those who competed!

March 04, 2017

On March 3rd and 4th, we had several teams go down and compete in Davis. Advanced Parli Pro placed 2nd, missing a win by only 3 points, and Novice Parli Pro placed 5th. The next day, our Nursery/Landscape Judging (7th), Livestock Judging, and BIG teams competed as well as Wyatt Kane (2nd) and Maggie McDilda in the Creed.

February 24, 2017

West Valley FFA had a huge success at the sectional speaking contests! Wyatt Kane (1st) and Maggie McDilda (4th) for Creed, Sedar Kane (2nd) and Mira Reginato (3rd) for Extemporaneous, James Banister (2nd) for Prepared Speech, and our Novice and Advanced Parli Pro teams who both placed 1st all advanced to the Regional Contests.

Our Novice and Advanced Parli Pro teams traveled to Chico for their second competition of the year. The novice team placed 1st overall and Tommie, Emma, and Kai were awarded high chairs. Our advanced team placed 2nd and Sedar Kane also received high chair.k

Our members were very successful with Wyatt Kane placing 1st in Creed, Sedar Kane 1st and Mira Reginato 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking, Emma Brogoitti placing 2nd and Toni Kostelec 3rd Impromptu. Awesome job, and a huge thank you to Foothill FFA for hosting this contest.

Our West Valley FFA Vine Pruning Team placed 2nd at Mid-Winter State Finals. Paden Bear was the 2nd high individual. Congrats Paden, Jake, James, and Wayde!

Our Advanced Parli Pro team placed first at Tulelake on Saturday. Wyatt Kane also placed first, making this his second contest that he has won in Creed. Sedar Kane was 4th in Extempt. Congrats West Valley Speakers!

Our Vine Pruning team continues to have success! On Saturday, they placed 2nd behind Kingsburg at the Reedley Vine Pruning. Congrats to Wayde Henderson, Paden Bear, Garrett Boyd, Derek Adams, Jake McDougall, Owen Booth, and James Banister.

Our Vine Pruning team took 3rd at the Dinuba Vine Pruning Competition, and Wayde Henderson was 3rd high individual. Congratulations!

Los Molinos hosted their first speaking contest this year, and West Valley FFA had an awesome experience. We had two Creed speakers attend, Wyatt Kane and Maggie McDilda. Of over 20 participants, Wyatt took 1st and Maggie took 2nd. Congratulations, and way to represent West Valley FFA!

The Shasta Section contest was a huge success! Our BIG team placed 1st, with Taylor Arrowsmith as 1st high individual, Maddie Steele 3rd high, and Trinity Brown 4th high. The Advanced Opening and Closing teams were 1st and 2nd with Shauna Mounts as high president and Kimber Welch as high secretary. Our Novice Opening and Closing teams got 2nd and 4th withTaylor Arrowsmith as high vice president, Bethany Gregg high secretary, and McKayla Bollinger reporter. Last but not least, our Co-Op team was 1st with Nicole Tomasello as 1st high individual, Tommy Vazquez 2nd high, Caleb Heitman 4th, and James Banister 5th high.
